What is Title I?
Harrison Central High School is a Title I school. Title I is part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The purpose of this program is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
What will Title I do for my student?
The funding will assist schools in meeting the educational goals of low-income students. According to the U.S. Department of Education, Title I funds typically support supplemental instruction in reading and math. Annually, this program reaches over six million students.
